THREE-LEGGED CRAWL AIDS NEEDY

YOUNG PATIENTS

10:30 - 11 September 2003

A three-legged 'spud crawl' has raised cash for a city hospital.
Craig Le-Butt and Gordon Hook, both Kung-Fu instructors,

and 14 of their Fu Jow Pai club joined friends and family to complete the crawl between Oadby and South Wigston, in aid of the LRI's children's cancer ward.

Each pair carried a 56lb sack of potatoes for the duration of the four-and-a-half mile event.

The Kung-Fu club has done similar events in the past around Leicestershire, but this year they are hoping to raise more money than ever before.

Craig said: "After the 14 pubs, people were a bit the worse for wear, but glad we had raised the more money than ever."
